Ibn Shemtov, Shemtov
(c.1380-c.1441)
   Spanish kabbalist. In Sepher ha-Emunot he criticized rationalists from Abraham ibn Ezra through Levi ben Gershom and Isaac Albalag. He was sharply opposed to the views of Maimonides and was particularly incensed by his Guide for the Perplexed.
